The Law of Resonance

Updated: Nov 6, 2022

The Law of Resonance is defined as, “Our life force will react to adjust on every stimulus or force that it is being exposed to within the body, mind, emotions or spirit. If the force of stimulus is stronger than the inner life force present, the bodies are forced to adjust in a way where a consequence of that force is perceived or experienced.” – Ascension Glossary

This Law is closely associated with the Law of Attraction. I typically do not write much about the LoA because so much has been twisted and misunderstood. The movie, “The Secret” brought to the surface a great message, but focused more on how the Law could be used for material gain than for growth, or at least this is the way many perceived it. The point many have missed in the message it that we do not manifest what we want. We manifest who we are.

Who we are is not a body, or a mind with a spirit. We are an energy system. Scientists who have been working in the fields of quantum physics and quantum mechanics for the past decade have now proven that we emit electromagnetic energy from our hearts. They have also even been able to measure the electromagnetic power of a thought.

Many of us have spent our lives wondering what our lives were about and how to make sense what we perceive as chaotic events that seemingly appear from nowhere in our lives. This chaos whether it manifests as dis-ease in our bodies, drama in our relationships or careers, dissatisfaction with our communities, certain industries, politics, etc. can appear to be events from which we are disconnected and completely separate.

But what if we’re not? What if the quote from the original Star Wars movie is closer to the truth than we have previously believed? “The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.” – Obi-Wan Kenobi

If we can accept we each have our own energy system that defines the individuality of who we are, then we must also accept we are connected to each other and to every living thing by a collective energy field.

An analogy that has simplified this for me is to use a visualization of having a movie projector shining out of my chest. Everything I am is constantly being projected out into the world. I do not manifest what I want. I manifest what I AM through the Law of Resonance.

I learned from Hu Dalconzo a few ideas about my thoughts that surprised me.

  1. Scientists have proven we think between 40,000 and 70,000” thoughts a day

  2. Somewhere between 80-95% of my thoughts I’m completely unconscious to…and

  3. Psychologists have proven that for most people, over 80% of our thoughts are fear-based.

Yet having worked as a Metaphysical Life Coach for the past 9 years, I’ve learned that we don’t have 32,000-56,000 beliefs that drive these thoughts. Most people have about 10-15 core fear based or negatively charged beliefs. And these may have defined us somewhat for most of our lives, but they can be changed.

The most common core negatively charged beliefs are some variation on these:

  1. I am not enough (not worthy, don’t deserve, etc.)

  2. I am not safe (not safe to be the real me, not safe to be with men/women, not safe to love, etc)

  3. I am not heard (am not respected)

Any thought or belief does not stay either in our conscious or unconscious mind unless it is held in place by either positively or negatively charged energy. What this means is that we only remember what we have associated either with positive or negative emotional energy.

For example, we may not remember driving to work 2 months ago on a specific day with any clarity unless something happened on that day to anchor it in our minds. The same is true of any day in our lives dating back to our childhoods. But when we were children, we accepted experiences often without the filter we have developed as adults.

When we accepted an experience, our minds developed a belief about ourselves as a result of that experience and once anchored, any repeat similar experience began to build a file in our minds as to why this belief was “true” for us. The more emotional energy attached to it, the more deeply held belief it is and the more it manifests in our lives seemingly cementing it in our reality.

This seems particularly relevant in our political extremes at this point. Ideas are presented on a daily basis in our news media. Much of it is designed to prey on the fears people have inherently within them and those who have not developed the distinction between who they are as a soul and who they think they are as a physical being on this planet, are more susceptible to this programming.

And the more someone identifies with the programming, the more resistant they are to release it, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that proves what they believe is false. They now have become the program, but think they are the ones running it. They attract drama into their lives and much like being unable to hear an FM station on the AM band, they simply cannot see outside the vibrational reality in which they live.

Here’s the kicker though, once you learn to release the emotional energy that anchors many of your core fear-based beliefs in your mind, your reality changes. The more you release, the less drams shows up in your life. The light from the projector starts to become a purer version of the real you. And when you consciously grasp this, it starts to get really exciting.

Because you no longer just accept the reality as it shows up. You step outside of the “blame, shame, victim game” you have been unconsciously playing all of your life and in which most of the rest of the world is still enmeshed. You begin to consciously manifest what you do want more easily using the Law of Resonance and to understand the deeper meaning behind the experiences that appear as coincidences in your life.

So if you’re still with me to this point, the obvious question is, “How can I use this knowledge?” After all there is a difference between Enlightenment and Empowerment.

Enlightenment is simply “the knowledge of how the Universe works.

Empowerment is the application of that knowledge. - Self-Mastery: A Journey Home to Your Self

First, become aware of the patterns you may have had over and over in your life. Dig deep. It’s not about the first answer that comes to mind. It’s typically about four or five layers down. This process is typically accomplished with a coach because most people will not consciously face the emotional energies from which they have been avoiding all of their lives.

Second, once you find the person or experience to which this emotional energy is connected, be willing to forgive. Forgiveness does not mean that you are okay with what anyone did or didn’t do, including yourself. It means you are willing to let go of the emotional energy you have been carrying attached to this experience which has been created undesired experiences over and over through the Law of Resonance.

Forgiving means to consciously face, feel and surrender this energy. Once tapped into, this energy can be difficult to face especially if you have spent your life thinking about your feelings, rather than actually feeling them as most men have been programmed by society.

We all have the choice to live our lives either as Empowered or Disempowered beings. We can choose to be responsible for the reality that shows up or blame others for “making us feel what we are feeling.”

Once the path of Empowerment is chosen however, once you choose to awaken, there is no return to ignorant bliss. The journey begins.
